Connoisseur Golden Retrievers
FAQ
Will I automatically get a puppy if I place a deposit?  What happens to my deposit if you don't have a puppy available?

We will try our best to match you with a suitable puppy for your situation.  Buyers that place their deposits ($500) first will be first in line when puppies are available.  If we can not supply you with the sex you desire, we will either refund your deposit or place you first on the list for that sex of puppy for the next litter.  Otherwise,  for those that simply change their minds, deposits are non-refundable.

Will you ship a puppy?

We would prefer you come for a visit and take your new family member home with you.  We understand this is not always possible.  In those situations, we will ship your new puppy.

Do you sell limited or unlimited registration?

Our puppies are primarily sold to pet homes and therefore are sold on a limited registration.  With this limited registration comes a contract that states you must spay or neuter your dog.  On very rare occasion, an unlimited purchase may be considered.

What certifications do you have for your dogs?

We obtain hip, elbow, eye, thyroid and heart certification on our dogs.  We would be glad to share all our certifications with you.

What happens if I can't keep my dog?

If, for any reason, you can not keep your dog, we require you return him/her to Connoisseur Golden Retrievers.  We will assume all responsibility for future placement.

Can we visit Connoisseur Golden Retrievers?

Absolutely!  However, we do not take visitors when our puppies are under 4 weeks of age.

What should we feed our new puppy?

We feel very strongly about this subject.  Due to an incredible spike on Golden Retriever cancers and the possible link with gluten, we only feed gluten-free organic or natural large breed puppy and adult food.  Though we recognize this increases the cost in caring for a pet, we also know all to well what it feels like to loose your Golden to cancer. We would be happy to make specific brand recommendations, upon request.

Will you be available for consultation should we have any problems with our new puppy?

Most definitely.  Once you purchase a puppy from Connoisseur Golden Retrievers, you have a friend and resource for the life of your dog.  It matters to us what happens to the puppies we produce!
